A Bit About How I Got Here
I grew up in a small southern suburb of Chicago, Calumet City. At an early age, I had a heart for leadership. From grade school student council CEO to High School Colorguard Captain to now holding a leadership role in my campus organization, I have had my fair share of collaborating with others and working together to make the world a better place one small step at a time! Even though I didn't always know what I wanted to study in school, a lot of what I did at an early age revolved around communications!
Walking into SIUE, I had no idea what the department of communications was or that it even existed. After visiting multiple tables at a degree fair, I was told again and again that I should look into Applied Communication Studies (ACS) and Mass Communications (MC). After about a year and a half of general education courses and a few introductory Communication classes, I quickly learned that I wanted to major in ACS with the Public Relations track and minor in Mass Communications.
I have taken several courses since then that have helped me shape my passions within the industry: design, social media strategies, and collaboration with other PR students and clients.

I express these passions outside of the classroom as the Student Communications Director for a religious organization on campus that I am involved in, the Cougar Catholic Newman Community. I create flyers and social posts, update the website, decide when to advertise events, and uphold "behind the scenes" logistical tasks. I love applying new skills and information to both personal and collaborative projects beyond the classroom.

I look forward to finding a job in social media helping organizations, businesses, or clients rebrand and complete a consistent posting routine. I am also simply interested in creating logos, cover photos, posts, flyers, etc.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to hear from you soon!
